One of the most frequently asked questions received at Salty Barber Company is, “How did they come up with the name?” Well, when Ian and Charles worked in the jail, they learned to maintain a vigilance that consumed a lot of energy and time. This left them without a lot of time and patience for trivial things. This would often result in both of them being described as “salty” and a few other adjectives we won’t mention here. Salty became part of their identity, but here we do not believe that is a bad thing. We encourage everyone to always remain vigilant, or “Stay Salty”, as they go through their day-to-day lives. 

Salty Barber Company is more than just a barber shop. Salty Barber Company has a vision to be a place where our patrons always feel welcome, always feel like they can relax regardless of the turmoil outside our doors, and where they can always depend on a service that is held to our Salty Standard. We strive to ensure that our partners are heard and their opinions are considered, and will be valued. Through multiple viewpoints from people of different backgrounds, we feel that we can offer the best experience available.

Salty Barber Company doesn’t plan on stopping where we are now, however, we have big plans for the future. From plans that are already in motion to a clear road map for the next five years, forward progress is inevitable.
